i wish the ext ant pluged in on the side of radio.. but i bought a ant and adapter and it works just fine. being in atlanta I have no issues geting the weather channel. and i love the search option on it... I really havent taken it on the hwy but have no issues with it nor have a range on it yet. but i sure it will be just fine. it will pick up cb talk off hwy 20 and that is about 4 miles from here. i pluged in a ext speaker and that works well too.. Works perfectly , receives and transmits extremely clear. Easy to hold and operate. Perfect for on the go info and communications
This radio is exactly what I needed. It receives perfectly and is so clear. I drive a semi for a living, it kept me out of an accident, then the next day the weather Channel alerted me of a tornado coming my way. I will recommend this radio to everyone.
