Great quality and features!
Both of us love to cook and the size and weight of the board is great for my husband (6'6") but seemed overwhelming at first for me (5'4"); however, the board proved to live up to tasks at hand. After several uses - cutting vegetables and cooked meats, it became obvious to me that I had previously used cutting boards that were too small and lightweight. No more cutting one or two types of vegetables and having to 'clear' the board before prepping another vegetable. No more slipping around the counter. The large size and the groove is great for catching the juices and saving my counter/floor! The board is beautiful, excellent workmanship and worthy to display on the counter. The board cleans easily and conditioning the board proved simple enough and enhanced the appearance even more. Cooks Illustrated highly recommended the board as possibly the best and last board you will ever buy. The price seemed steep and one would hope that is the case. Useful and beautiful!!
Being tired of small cutting boards (I call cheese and cracker boards) I decided to get a larger board for cutting vegetables for stir fry and cutting up meat from the BBQ. At first I thought it was a little overboard but now relish the use of my fantastic Teak cutting board. Big and Beautiful
The wood is really beautiful, especially after you oil it. This cutting board is quite large. Should be plenty big for large cuts of meat and whole fish, which is what I needed. It you're just chopping vegetables and slicing average sized cuts of meat, you probably should get a smaller size. The cutting board is smooth on the one side and has the liquid channel on the other side as shown in the photo. There are hand cutouts on the sides to allow for easier moving and flipping of the board. It's size could be a problem when rinsing it in your sink if you have a 2-sided sink.
