SynopsisA timeless tale by the incomparable Kate DiCamillo, complete with stunning full-color plates by Bagram Ibatoulline, honors the enduring power of love. Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason: he was owned by a girl named Abilene, who treated him with the utmost care and adored him completely. And then, one day, he was lost. Kate DiCamillo takes us on an extraordinary journey, from the depths of the ocean to the net of a fisherman, from the top of a garbage heap to the fireside of a hoboes' camp, from the bedside of an ailing child to the bustling streets of Memphis. And along the way, we are shown a true miracle -- that even a heart of the most breakable kind can learn to love, to lose, and to love again., A New York Times bestseller! • Wonderful story!

I ordered this because my son was loving it at school and wanted his own copy. He never really wants his own copy to reread a book, but he loves this so much that we’ve read it once and will be starting it again after we pace ourselves with another book! It really is such a beautiful story. It’s touching and a little sad, but also lovely! Edward’s character changes so much over the course of his story and life, and it teaches a great lesson about love.

  • Love Kate DiCamillo

This used book is in great condition and was a really good price for a hardcover. I wanted to get this book for my third grade granddaughter since Kate DiCamillo is such a good author. It's a great story.

  • A book for All Ages

This is an excellent book for all ages! A beautiful love story about a very egocentric porcelain rabbit and a rich little girl. The rabbit goes on an unexpected journey moving from place to place learning lessons about how to love and being loved.. It is captivating story and you will feel sorry for the rabbit at times and even fall in love with him as he makes his journey. The story has a very surprising ending. G-Ma Rhodes

  • Wonderful book to share with a child.

I love this book in my mind it’s a classic. We read this book to our advance second graders, who absolutely love this story. I’m looking forward to sharing it with my granddaughter. I wanted a hard copy for my home collection. The book is in excellent shape, only one page had a bent in corner. The jacket sleeve had a tear, but I was surprise to receive a jacket sleeve on the book. That was an added bonus. And Ireceive a jacket sleeve on the book. That was a added bonus. And I could not beat the price for the hardback book. It was worth every penny.

  • The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Bought this book for my 8 year old grandson who loves it. Every night we read a chapter or two together and have the best time. Highly recommended for this age group plus a few years - 8 - 12 specifically.

  • it's Magical

Kate DiCamillo's book The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is technically a children's book but it has such a wonderful story and such truly beautiful artwork that any adult will be charmed and possibly quite emotional by the story's end. I know I actually wept (and I'm not a cryer.) I highly recommend Kate DiCamillo's books and especially this wonderful magical book. It's a children's classic.

  • A lovely story for any age

This is a children's book, but the messages are for any age. (In fact, parts speak louder to adults.) I purchased a second copy so I could share with others. We all need reminders of love in our lives, and Edward Tulane's journey is just that.

  • Learning about life from a toy rabbit

This is an engaging story on several levels. Everything does not go as planned and the main character learns life lessons as he goes along. Even though it is a book for the young, we read it for our adult book club. The illustrations are amazing.
