The music not for everyone, buy it anyway.
You have to understand what this is. It's easy listening music from the 1960's. But... it's really good sounding easy listening music from the 1960's. I don't like all the songs, for sure. But, the level of performance, control, and recording brilliance can't be denied. If you want to hear what a good recording sounds like, this is it. The slow pace of the music allows you to analyze what's going on. His use of harmonics is brilliant. This is the antithesis of the recording "loudness wars" of the last 20 years. Again, get past the tunes themselves. Some you might like, others you won't. Still buy this CD and listen to it on the best system you have. Headphones are OK, but on good equipment and good speakers, it's sublime. This is a Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs recording. They don't put out junk. There has to be a reason aesthetically for them to put the time, effort, and money into doing it up their way. Amazing sound.
