Lightweight, fits in side pocket of bag, extends quickly.
Shorter than the one I used it to replace, but oh so easy to use, and fits in a side pocket of the bag, unlike the typical retriever. Not sure about durability, only time will tell, but very functional. I can extend it with a flick of the wrist.

Love the small size and 9’ reach.
Had a similar one before with the same, unique ball catch and loved it. My previous version had telescoped in and out of a sleeve, but this instead has a different closure. Perhaps a different company bought the patent. Using it may be helped with a little explanation which did not come with it. When extending the telescope, you firmly hold the cylindrical case where the telescope exits, and pull out sections which will lock into place with one another. If you don’t need the full 9’ extension, just pinch the telescope exit point with your fingers/ hand where you had been holding the case while you retrieve the ball. Now having the pole extended, place the catcher over the ball as it rests, much like putting a hat on your head. Then just pull toward you with slight downward pressure and the ball becomes trapped for easy removal. It’s simple and clever. When closing up the extended length back into its cylindrical case, you simply push it all the way solidly in, until the little green ball pops out from the end, as in the picture, locking it in place. You’ll get the hang of it quickly even if I haven’t described it very clearly.

GREAT BALL RETRIEVER
This retriever does a great job of snagging balls from the water or from underbrush. It's easy to extend & close plus light & affordable. I've got 1 in each of my golf bags.

ProActive Super-Lite Golf Bal Retriever Fiberglass 9 foot long when extended
Great ball retriever, this is my second one because I loved it so much, but after using this for a couple of weeks, I noticed the end of the handle is cracked! see the pics. But it still works great and I still love it. Great length to reach the balls in the middle of the ponds.

Light weight and easy to use
I had an older version of this retriever that finally broke. I like this retriever because it is light weight and fits inside the longer pocket of my golf bag and can extend to 9 ft. It was a good value and easy to use in retrieving golf balls.

Excellent retriever
I only like small collapsible retrievers like this one. I broke my similar search n rescue retriever but this one's s even better. Very light and extends in a couple seconds. No locking rings, etc. Scooper design is excellent also. It snags balls and locks them in. I recommend this item if you want a small, lightweight, reliable retriever.

Unsteady
I liked the product until I used it. Problem is when you extend the wand it does not lock into place. With it being made of plastic it spins when trying to pick up a ball.

Best retriever ever !
Without a doubt... the best retriever I have ever used. I bought 1 and showed my buddies. Since then I have ordered 9 more to meet their requests to have 1.

Cool and great tool for the job!
Very Simple and very effective. Remember not to cast it like a fishing rod to extend it. I did my first one and when I was trying to retract it I broke it. So I ordered a new one. Live and learn. It is a great product.
