Set creates good vacuum seals although the regular mouth unit has a challenge
I am very pleased with the large mouth jar sealer. It is easy & effective to use. The regular mouth jar sealer is not as easy to use. Initial uses of the latter kept resulting in the blue sealing gasket coming out/off when removing the sealer from the jar after the vacuum process was completed, (which didn't happen on the wide mouth unit.) The regular size gasket is shaped slightly different than the wide mouth version. Where the wide mouth unit has one lip higher than the other, the lips on the regular mouth unit's seal appear to be the same height. I have figured out how to tweak the 'release' method of the regular size unit and with that, it works fine. It does take more time and effort to make it work but it is much better than it was. I won't designate a yes or no reply to the 'easy to operate' question because of the challenge I have noted.

Nice additional product for vacuum sealing
I had purchased this product years ago to vacuum seal quart and pint jars of dry items that might go stale in my pantry or cupboard. It also fits the sealer containers so I can marinade meat before grilling. I recently bought a second one since I got a new food sealer that had the accessory port but no hose. Very useful item to have.

EASY
product worked just like everyone said it would. no problems sealing jars. Keeps things much fresher. And so easy to use, I freeze dry things like fruit, add an oxygen absorber then vacuum seal jar. This product make my work last with confidence that it will last much longer...

It works!
Both sizes of sealers tops work as advertised. (I read that some were having difficulty using the regular mouth sealer, but mine worked perfectly.) It was easy to put on and take off of the jars & held the seal needed to vacuum seal the jars. The jars have held their seals after removing the sealers.

Food saver jar sealer
This jar sealer works great. I did not have the vacuum port on my old bag sealer, so I modified my old machine by unscrewing the bottom plate and connecting the jar sealer hose directly to the vacuum pump on the inside. The size of this hose fits perfectly. Very easy modification, don’t forget to unplug the power to the machine. As for the ease of sealing, I had no problems. All of my lids were used and old. I just put a very thin film of silicone lube on top of my jar before starting. Probably not necessary. You can tell if it’s sealing by listening to the sound of the machine change. This jar sealer works great.
