I can't say "its words bring God to Life"... but it will certainly show you that God IS the Life!!!
This is the quintessential Reformation Study Bible. The only other one I'd recommend is R.C. Sproul's Reformation Study Bible, which was released last year (posthumously; R.C. went home to be with his Lord in 2017). This 1995 version of the Geneva Study Bible (which is not just a Bible, but a study in Reformation Theology to be certain) was edited by two of the most prominent, Word-immersed Christians and Theologians, R.C. Sproul and J.I. Packer, with contributions made by manifold Biblical Scholars. The original notes are clarified and made transparent and understandable so that a first-grader could understand its content. Where further discussion and explanation are required, you will find it. If you're looking for a closer Walk with our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus, read this Bible, either from cover-to-cover, following a one-year plan (I recommend a plan that contains a little bit of OT, some Psalm, some Proverbs, and a little bit of NT) or however you wish to read it. I have not had time to read it much;but, what I have read makes me wish to read on and compare it with other texts I have on hand.
It arrive on time and with only moisture damage/ probably stored in high humidity;but, no damage----just wrinkled.

New Geneva Bible
For those who are interested in the Protestant Reformation this bible is a must. Commentaries and notes are first rate.

Worth every penny
If this Bible is used it isn’t visible to the eye. It is practically new and in great shape. Glad I bought it.
