New life for the old washer
Had the 04 error on my Bosch Nexxt Washer, model WFMC3200UC/01 which indicated a problem with the drain or pump. I had many times cleaned out objects from the pump housing, such as coins, nails, and other small objects that jammed the pump impeller. This time I opened the pump and found nothing blocking the impeller, which seemed odd. Also the machine would sometimes go complete cycle without a problem. I found a service manual online and was able to do some diagnostics, and the pump seemed fine. Put it back together and one wash later the fault was back. I did notice the impeller to be a little loose from what I would expect, but not seeing the unit when new I was unsure if the impeller was intended to wobble or not. During one of my tests the pump motor failed to rotate, leading me to deduce the pump was the issue, for sure. I checked the various vendors and found this Supco pump seemed to be the latest version that fit my particular washer, and it was the best price. The new model pump has an extra hose to drain the pump before opening the cover, but I had already learned to have a wet vacuum ready and open the cover slowly while waiting for the water to drain. There is quite a bit of water, and you can use towels. I have not tried the auxiliary hose so I do not know how effective it is in reducing water spillage. Changing out the pump is not too difficult, and the manual certainly helps. The front of the washer needs to come off, and the tub gasket retainer is the most frustrating part to reinstall. Anyway, the washer is working fine now. I took the old pump apart and discovered that the motor shaft was very worn, allowing the armature to rub on the housing. Depending on how the motor stopped governed if it was able to pump next time it was called for, hence the intermittent problem I was experiencing. This pump was made in China, and the old one was made in Italy, but there seems to be no difference in the quality, and I do not know where the replacement Bosch pumps are manufactured. I am happy that I can keep my washer running...

Bosch washing machine pump
While this "fits" the exterior dimensions closely there is one major problem with the pump. The outlet for the original Bosch pump has a flat bottom in the discharge nozzle while the replacement pump has a tapered bottom and the discharge hose will not easily fit and lock in place. I spent considerable amount of time forcing the hose into the discharge and hope that it will stay put. Other than that everything was ok.

Better than the original pump.
Great price on this Supco washer drain pump. Half the price of the local parts store. Has a useful drain hose for emptying the pump of water before clearing debris or other maintenance. Helps with keeping water spillage to a minimum during servicing. The replacement process is straightforward, but still a little tricky because of the tight space inside the washer. A few good YouTube videos are available to watch before attempting the replacement. One important thing to note, is the electrical connector on the pump is keyed slightly differently from the original. A small plastic tab on the original electrical connector needs to be shaved off so that it will fit into the pump's connector socket. Otherwise a perfect fit and a solid repair.

Great Knock off pump!
Priced around 33% of what OEM list at. Seams to work just as well. Only complainant is the area the wire harness plugs into, is recessed making it difficult to align and snap in. I've read where other's say it wont plug in without modifying the harness, well I didn't have that issue. It's just recessed and your plugging it in by feel, since its to the rear of the machine, while access is from the front.

Next Bosch 500 series
**"Mods are needed!! This pump works well for the Bosch 500 Nexxt series, however, you will need to modify the power plug to the pump. You will notice the pattern on the power input to the pump will not accept the original plug. One of the plastic nubs on the plug needs to be removed. I used an xacto knife. Once the modification to the plug is made, the power cable will work perfectly.

Excellent pump with an extra hose to drain the washer
Yes an excellent pump 1.25 amps, stronger of the original that was .85 amps and there is an extra hose with a twist cap to empty the washer when you need it which it is a plus to make this operation easier .
