A true story, with a 'shoot the messenger' aspect
I was working a FAA tech support contract when this happened. To the best of my knowledge, the facts as presented in the movie are substantially correct. I was not aware, however, of the determination of the airline and FAA to blame the pilot for the outcome. Fortunately, he managed to refrute their claims. Having worked for the Federal Government for 15 years, i was well aware of that aspect of life concerning the Fed Govt. Cheers.

Sully DVD, Excellent Movie, intense at times.
This movie is excellent. Tom Hanks did a great job as Sully. Most of the time I was on the edge of my seat. And I feel Sully in life did the right thing landing on the Hudson... He is a hero in my book... Very good movie and I feel Sully did save many lives and Tom Hanks did this very well. Way to go Tom Hanks...

Very good movie
Waited until this came out on DVD as I did not want to pay over $10 for a movie experience. Answered a lot of questions that the papers did not, especially Sully and co-pilot being questioned about the choices they made. Nice to see Man verses programed machine can still win. Tom Hanks is always a good fit in parts like this movie.

SULLY DVD
Great movie based on a true story of the man who ended up doing the Hudson Landing with the airplane a great movie the value was amazing and I would recommend anyone seeing this movie at least once great purchase

Excellent based-on-true-story movie!
Other than a few places where strong language was used, I was impressed overall with the quality and content of this film. Tom Hanks does an excellent job playing the part of Sully. Engaging and entertaining, with enough suspense to keep you hanging but not leave you distressed.

Sully: brilliant work
Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood are giants of entertaining in an educational way, bringing reality and positive feelings together. The story is exceptionally great and inspirational for the entire spectrum of audience, and the delivery was perfect. I only look at movies that have names like Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks - these I would want to buy and keep forever, watching them over and over.

EXCELLENT MOVIE
It is a wonder how this movie was filmed. It is a real cliff hanger, and it is a true rendition of an accidental plane tragedy some years ago. Tom Cruise does a great job as the Captain of the plane. Great movie !

This is a dvd movie about a jetliner going swimming in the Hudson River.
A Clint Eastwood directed movie. Tom Hanks as Sully. Aaron Eckhart as his copilot. An engaging story with unexpected problems for the flight crew.

The picture was GREAT!!! However, there was no mention of his growing up in DENISON, TEXAS,only a Brief look at a sign reading Denison, Texas at the beginning! But His History of having grown up here probably comes from his being BULLIED by Jocks in High School , and the Disgraceful Act of NOT, IN ANY WAY HONORING A HERO, and A Man KNOWN AROUND THE PLANET!!! Until WE do so, we DESERVE NO HONOR for IGNORING this Citizen and HERO with NO Honor for HIM. The Movie,,EXCELLENT !!!!!!! I was in High School when he was. SHAME ON DENISON.

Impressive
Even knowing what took place from the media, this movie was riveting. And the bonus DVD explaining how the movie was made and the care they took to remain factual was very interesting. More Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood successes.
