When I looked at the instructions I was initially worried when saw that they tell you to download an app, but I was relieved to find out that you don't need to install the app to use the unit, you can do everything just using the buttons on the top. The only criticism is I would have liked the option to use a remote - I suppose that's what the app is for, but obviously I'm not using it.

Have to check whether it could cure the real problem caused by spicy food. Oh, the ad doesn't mention it but the user manual says the filter can be used for 1,800 hours (and must be replaced). That's a lot of time. I think the air purifier is good value for money.
