Accurate description I believe, but the stone is much darker than the picture. I am not even convinced that this isn't a plastic stone rather than a true Garnet. I ordered three different rings in a size 7 and 1/2, this one is the only one that's too small. It is possible because of the fat width, that you will have to order a larger size.
