The Blackstar HT-Dual, two-channel tube distortion pedal pushes your amp from producing warm, crunchy tones to sustaining tube-lead tones. Featuring genuine valve design with cascaded gauge stages, this sound pedal responds like a valve amp. Made for the studio and the stage alike, this dual-distortion pedal lets you customize your guitar effects.The Blackstar HT-Dual uses a 12AX7 tube to produce warm, organic tones from your guitar. It boasts two channels and three distinct modes. Channel One provides both clean or crunch modes. In either mode, you can choose between using the effect as an overdrive or as a boost. Channel Two lets you create distortions ranging from crunchy to lead. This Blackstar unit also includes unique, enhanced tone and switching controls, and it boasts silent switching. These switching functions can turn a one-channel vintage amplifier into a three-channel audio effects machine.The HT-Dual features a clean but in-depth set of controls that give you full tone-shaping options without making the sound cluttered or overcomplicated. The unit features six knobs in all. The first one includes gain one and two. This knob is followed by a clean-crunch-mode switch that lets you choose how to configure channel one. The first gain enables modification of how much overdrive the first channel will provide. The second gain allows you to adjust how much overdrive the second one will provide. This switch is followed by three knobs, controlling bass, mid, and treble sounds. These change the tone's low-end, midrange, and high-end frequency responses.The next knob controls the patented Blackstar Infinite Shape feature. Blackstar's IS feature tailors the EQ to let you experiment with sounds ranging from the tight, low end of a pushed American amplifier to the woody, midrange character of a classic British stack. This feature lets you modify the entire tonal response. You can mimic the sounds of famous guitar and amplifier brands. The ISF also provides you with infinite variety to create your own signature sounds out of your amplifier. When you turn the control toward zero, the unit provides a percussive response that is focused and tight like American amps. When you crank the knob toward 10, it provides a warmer response that is crunchy and woody like standard British amps.The knob on the far right controls the overall audio levels from each of the channels. Below these knobs is the viewing window. This lets you see through a grill the ECC83-valve at the core of the unit. Each of the two footswitches on the unit has its own indicator light. These indicate which of the channels is currently on.These digital-effect pedals for guitars have one input and two outputs with one being the speaker-emulated output. These pedals operate at 300 volts (HT). The accessories that come in the box with this music-effects gear include a power supply. You can even run these units in a series with other guitar effects pedals. This will further add color and texture to your music whether you are recording or playing live.
