The Spin Wires are a Punk/Dance Rock band from Buffalo, NY. Never taking themselves too seriously, they embody the best elements of bands like Franz Ferdinand, The Black Keys and The Arctic Monkeys. The Spin Wires are a three-piece Buffalo based band that plays a blend of dance rock infused with elements of punk, new wave and garage rock. Tyson Prince (Guitar/Vocals) met Joe Grasso (Drums) at a Beer Olympics tournament during the Summer of 2012. After being cheated out of the bronze medal in a highly contested game of baggo, the duo discovered they shared a passion for upbeat punk music. A few days later, at a local bar, they were approached by a slightly inebriated RJ Porter (Bass/Vocals). RJ adamantly stated he would play any instrument and any type of music so long as we drank Canadian beer while doing it. With the addition of this bassist with such discriminating tastes The Spin Wires was born.
