    Great Book!!

    I attended a seminar by Ruby Payne on this book and it was really "eye opening" on the culture of those in poverty. As a teacher, I was able to understand my students that were living in poverty so much better. It is a "must read" for anyone working with people. The seminar was excellent, but I had to leave my book at school when I retired. I wanted to read it again. The book arrived in perfect shape and quickly. I would recommend the seller.

    Great info!

    I really hadn’t planned on sitting down with this book and reading half of it in one sitting, but that’s what happened! I’m a nurse, have worked as a public health nurse, and it has helped me so much to understand why people who live in poverty behave the ways they do. It’s a compelling read, will pass on to my daughter who is a teacher.

    WOW! Very Clearly Presented

    This is the most easily read and understood on class differences with a focus on poverty. This book is a MUST for teachers as well as social professionals and persons who deal with poverty issues.

    Must Read for Educators.

    This book should be required reading for anyone in health care, education, psychology, social work, or just understand some of those you work with. Deep insight in to understanding why some people living in poverty do what they do.
