Return from hiatus
Story campaign plays like levels, or in this case missions. The gameplay will test how good you are at completing objectives, you'll want to pay attention most of the time, as radio chatter can give you an idea of what is happening at all times, some of these missions can be difficult if not prepared. Thankfully there are checkpoints, and you can always return to the hanger to modify your plane. There are end mission rankings to keep you coming back to replay for better ranks. S-rank being highest. If you just want to fly and not worry about a story, there is a Free Mode, great for quick sessions. Multiplayer: has a few rooms daily, but not too many players, only game modes available are TDM and FFA, has room options and host migration. max players in a dog fight is 6v6, but you can start a match with just one other person, there is even private match if you care to only play with friends. Graphics are amazing, lots of details on the plane and most importantly the moment to moment visuals as you fly and across clouds, seas and deserts. But please be aware, if you have history of motion sickness, skip this game. OTHER NOTES: there is flight stick support, but i have none so cant comment. There is VR missions, if you have PlayStation VR check it out!

Great fun!
I was hoping the entire campaign would be VR compatible, but it's just a few missions. Still, the VR was exactly what I hoped for and I wasn't disappointed by what's there. The gameplay is super arcade like, but for most of us, that's fine. It creates some very unrealistic situations where you as an A-10 pilot can dogfight with an expert MiG-29 pilot or an advanced drone for a few minutes and win... But it's fun as hell. The story in the campaign mode is complex, compelling, and much longer than any other game of this type that I've played before. The biggest gripe is that this isn't one big open world for you to play in and explore. Granted, I'm of the Jane's simulator era and I loved those over complications sims.

Wow!
Graphics are great. The story is very good. There is a plethora of planes or jet engines. I love the F-14s and F-16s. It reminds me of Top Gun. Haha! Wait there’s There is a but. The upgrade paths can be overwhelming. If you like complexity then this is a great game for you. I enjoyed the whole experience other than the complexity.

ACE is the GOAT!
Probably the best flight, dogfight game ever made! Ace Combat is the GOAT of flight games! The VR missions will blow your mind away. I'm actually flying from my living room!

Ace Combat 7 Realistic Flight Simulator, with PS4 Pro plus VR
OH MY GOD, It blew me away, First started out with the non VR version. Flew a few missions and graphics were awesome with 4K Samsung 58 inch TV, and then hooked up The VR. OMG This thing is closest thing to actual flight Simulator, THe VR Mission starts off coming up on the Aircraft Carrier Elevator To the Flight Deck. Then you start taxing up for a launch from the flight deck. As you look around there is another F18 ready for take-off, then it blast down the deck with in a second or two right before your eyes. It seems so real it is breathtaking. Then it is your turn for launch. WOW fantastic motion, Then you can look all around as you take flight . If you look on both sides of your aircraft you can see your missile payload. And it is BREATHTAKING. to say the least, A must have for anyone wanting to experience flying and especially launching from an Aircraft Carrier that is so realistic, you will get dizzy in VR untill you get use to it, Well you just have to experience it for yourself. A read of all safety information is a must, quick search on Youtube is a must
