investment in product wil require additional investment in time and finagling to make it actually work the way it is advertised
If purchasing this product - be warned - it was not constructed for heavy everyday wear and tear. it will require additional thought and some common sense to make it work the way it should. It will need some additional pieces od your own purchase then to make it secure and stable for full length behind the door use. Since this is the way it is advertised I would have expected it to be strong and usable for weighty items for behind the door storage. The weakness of this product that requires ingenuity to bypass is that when adding additional pieces to make it full length, the brackets are very loose and not fitting solidly into existing connector spots. if hanging over actively used door - the constant movement would have caused a swaying of the entire system and surely it would have come apart. This junction of pieces and the reason why it would be used as behind the door storage WAS NOT taken into careful consideration. At this point, the quality of the entire piece is really in question. Fortunately - I rectified the disaster in the making by securing the junction of pieces with metal binding and fastening, which I would have thought this would have been thought out. So I made an initial investment in careless speedy lower quality and made it secure and actually functioning at a higher rate of quality.

Serves the purpose but needs a bit more design work
Great for the 8 foot doors I have for extra storage. The connections could be a better mechanism such as pin system as it is very apt to come undone I used gorilla glue to give it a little more connection but it needs a PIN at each joint. The screws and bolts to connect the over the door hooks are USELESS. I had to go to the ACE and find something that connects better. The idea is great, and it matches the wire pantry and linen closet fixtures, BUT it needs some design improvement... EASY to adapt if someone really reads this review.

Over the Door Storage
Great product! Perfect for small homes. Easy to assemble the over-the-door feature. It can also be hung on the wall, which is a little more complicated, but an excellent idea if there is no door available! Adjustable to different heights. Everything I need and more! Outstanding seller!

8 tier closetmaid space saver ...
Functionally, most reasonable cans fit And there is a guard rail for taller wobbly bottles. Easy assembly and aethetically very pleasing whether on door or wall. Choosing a wall is appropriate even for small closets. I bought two, used one in home office closet. Very nice.

Nice storage option
Nice quality product. I live in a small condo, with little in the way of storage. The storage rack was easy to install. I installed it on a utility room door.....using the wall install method. The hangers didn't fit the gap at the top of the door so I eliminated them. Now I can store a lot of items that used to be under the sink.....making it more space efficient and far less cluttered.

Ingenious storage solution
I love these shelves. They are exactly what I was looking forward to increasing the storage space in my small apartment kitchen. The shelves are adjustable so I can configure them exactly to my requirements and if I need a different configuration then they are easily changed!

Space saver
We recently moved to an apartment with half the kitchen storage space that we had in our previous residence. My wife was beside herself trying to figure where she would locate both can goods and dry goods - the door mounted storage rack holds the equal of two cabinet shelves on the back of a door connecting the kitchen to the laundry. Goods are easier to reach and identify, which has made her life a little easier.

8-Tier Storage Rack - So Handy!
it keeps everything at my fingertips instead of having to plow through deep shelves of all sorts of things. I do wish it hung over the door instead of screwing it on. Because we have paneled doors and not perfectly flat ones, I couldn't put it where I actually bought it for and had to find a different place for it.
