I reread the eBay write up and couldn't find anywhere that this would be a refurbished item and a 30 day warranty instead of one year. Any I put in the three batteries and it started right off. Outside of a few marks and a small piece of tape on the side of the case the clock looks great. We will use it as a bed side alarm clock and as long as it works correctly we will be greatly satisficed.

It is sturdily built and has already survived being dropped on the floor (carpeted, fortunately, so no damage done). It had been very carefully packaged by the vendor and arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Strongly recommended.

That being said, I searched at length for a clock that meets the needs of people with sleep issues like me. The Lacrosse doesnt.. -it’s “night vision” light is still way too bright. I thought the “sensor” mode on this one would dim it down to almost no light, but no..if only there was a clock that had a variable dimmer that started at zero..I could not find one at all. -it’s also not silent; you can hear an electronic sound. It’s a no-go for sleep hygiene.
