B&K - The unknown, underrated audiophile amplifier company that was
This is an excellent solid state amplifier and much overlooked by the few audio enthusiasts left. Made in the USA too. I purchased this to satisfy my significant other's desire for home theater. I was concerned when I was having to replace my B&K reference series 2-channel but knew I'd try a B&K multi-channel amplifier. I was able to win this one for less than market value (which is quite reasonable for what you get) and though I have a 5-channel setup I now have room for expansion as well. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be: powerful, smooth & great sounding. No drop off in sound quality moving from my 2-channel to this surround system. The only warning I have is it runs very warm!!!! I followed the directions setting it up: it has it's own power outlet and has 2 inches of clearance all around but it could warm a tiny house, lol. One of the best features is that it has balanced interconnections. B and K amps..

Worked for awhile , been repaired before and shoddy repair at that, now I have a paperweight
