Refined Elegance with a V-8 Under the Hood!
Simplistic elegance! The exterior is refined in that it only has one sub-dial and the appearance is clean and crisp, not busy like those with 3 sub-dials. Having said that, it can do most of what those with 3 sub-dials do, only through the placement of its hour, minute and second hands for a few seconds. You can wear this watch in a casual situation; or, with formal attire and it will fit in. Even though it is a blue dial, it is a fairly flat, dark blue that comes across as black from a distance. As a Satellite Wave watch, it will update time, date, time zone, etc. in 3 - 15 seconds, versus 30 seconds to a minute for an Atomic radio watch. Beautiful, accurate, practical timepiece
Love this watch! Very stylish, comfortable, keeps dead-on time, and never needs a battery or winding. After about 3 weeks of wearing it every few days, no scratches and looks new, so the stainless steel is very high quality. It synced right away when I received it after about 30 sec outside. It was 1 second behind - and bumped up to the atomic time. I have several high end mechanical watches which are beautiful pieces but dinosaurs when it comes to actually keeping time. Go on vacation and don't have a winder? - have to wind it and reset it. They lose 3-6 second per day - so have to be reset every 2 weeks or so. I began to look at Citizen when I decided I wanted to go battery-less. I now have two and love them!Love this watch! If you’re looking for an easy to read, stylish accurate watch. This may be the watch for you. The eco-drive is solar powered so it never needs a new battery and the time signal is set by direct link to the earths gps satellites which, in turn, receive their signal from the world time atomic clock. This watch’s simplistic face design belies its features. It has a perpetual calendar set until February 28 2100. The date is easy to read, as is the day of the week. This watch has a power reserve of 7 years if left in the dark. It has world time and is adjustable for daylight saving time in any of the worlds 40 time zones. However, the watch includes a GPS receiver that allow it to synchronize with the GPS system to determine the correct down to the second. It can perform this function within typically 15 seconds, sometimes in as few a 3-5 seconds. If you travel, the watch can also determine which time zone you are in, though this requires a little mote time. It is solar powered, and if fully charged, can be put in a drawer and forgotten for 2 years, and it will tell you the correct time and date when you remove it from the drawer. You really can't go wrong...
Citizen's Eco-Drive line is probably the best bang-for-buck timepiece on the market and combined with the GPS feature to automatically set the time & date, based on your time zone, it's basically a no-brainer. Stylish & no nonsense when it comes to power, plus very accurate - this watch has become my 'daily!'
