Stine was the king of model rocketry!!!
I owned the 5th edition as a teenager (40+ years ago), and this edition matches the old edition with even more info. Great book from an awesome writer/author. Stine was considered the king of model rocketry, and founded the NAR, along with other great contributions to the rocket science world. It's a great book for a beginner.
This book is a great book for beginners in model rocketry and for us older kids who find themselves getting back into it when we are almost ready to retire. It's an easy read. Alot of good information. The book is a little dated but the information is still relevant. Classic book on model rockets.

Rocket science for the backyard!
This book is a comprehensive tour of "everything you need to know" about model rockets, written in an engaging and lighthearted style by two authoritative pioneers in the field. It is simple enough to appeal to beginners yet, for the nerd herd, includes all the hardcore equations underlying the fun stuff. Great Model rocket book but a little outdated
