Great series!
I first became aware of this series through Netflix. Not all the videos were available there so I decided to purchase the set. It is a series my whole family enjoys, age range from mid 30's-mid 80's! It's humorous, has fantastic landscape views of Scotland, features castles (Who doesn't love castles?) and wonderful characters. We love this series! Since we have it in our video library now, we can watch it over and over again!

Very wonderful story
Excellent story with great acting and beautiful scenery. Story has good family viewing and thats hard to find now days. The English have always proven to have better taste than us colonials! Sex and killings is all America can produce. On the trash scale, Hollywood wins all the trashy trophies!

Monarch of the Glen: The Complete Collection (DVD, 2010, 18-Disc Set) BRAND NEW
Well written with engaging characters and the scenery is great and the accents I love. Will be watching and re watching it for a while!

Wonderful family entertainment and stunning scenery!
A friend and I actually are scheduling time together to watch these and it's so fantastic! I loved this series when it ran on PBS years ago and now it's fun to share it with someone else. The quality of the DVD's is exceptional and of course, the Scottish scenery is unbeatable! If you are looking for a good family entertainment series, this would be it! My only issue is.... it's hard not to watch ahead but to wait for my friend to have available time so we can watch them together! :)

Scottish wonder!
Unique story line with funny & engaging characters. The scenery is beautiful! I had watched the entire series prior to purchase & wanted it for my home library. The collection is well worth the money.

Engaging and real with believeable characters.
The story catches you right from episode one with wonderful character portrayals by exceptional actors. Each segment leaves you wanting for more and wondering what will happen next. Can't go wrong with this series for your collection as you will want to watch it again.

Simply Great
This is a wonderful series. Once you start watching it, you can get hooked. Fantastic actors. I wish there were more shows like this. The plot is fascinating. The scenery is great. The hills and the lakes are on location and not some back lot. Archie is a fascinating character and very likable. There are so many very laughable moments. This is up lifting.

Funny, entertaining Scottish dramdy!
This was a gift for my wide who really enjoyed this program. I was surprised any the quality of the DVD compared to the library rental we viewed in the past. The format has been upgraded to widescreen as opposed to the standard definition in previous versions.

great series, wonderful to have the full set of dvds
This set of dvds is great, arrived in good shape and faster than expected. Such a terrific series full of fun, quirky characters. Saw most of the episodes years ago but wanted to re-visit this as something witty, funny, and slightly romantic to watch.

Modern Dilemna Meets Ancient Relicts
This is a wonderful series about very real and likable characters. Any generation can enjoy the humor and wit, learn a bit about Scottish history and the beautiful country itself, and can relate to the characters in this series. Plus, the plots are very well done; you never know what will happen next.
