    Works as advertised

    I've installed and used this a dozen times or so. Pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. And, yes, you can easily roll off the throttle even when the cruise assist is engaged. Cons: A little more difficult to engage than I'd like. (However, maybe that's not a "Con." There's really no way you're going to accidentally engage this thing.) Cost vs other solutions. Pros: Easy to install. Seems very safe once you realize how it functions and practice using it. High quality materials, looks great.

    Throttle lock

    This is a great edition to the kuryakyn avalon grips. It looks nice mated up to the chrome grips with the clutch side matching weight. Due to the design of the lock mechanism the throttle boss assist cannot be attached to the grips when using the lock and matching clutch weight. Over all I am very pleased with this item. Exactly as shown and very nice price.

    Kuryakyn Cruise Assist

    Nice unit. I wanted something to give my right hand a rest on long rides. It's wet and cold now so I haven't had a chance to really use it, but I did go for an hour ride and tested several times. It works very nicely and seems to be just what I wanted.

    KURYAKYN 6285 Universal Mechanical Throttle Cruise Assist- Bar End - Good deal or not?

    I found that it does not hold the throttle in position, it is just an over priced bar end but it does look good. I changed out my throttle grip to heated grips and the Kuryakyn 6218 Premier Throttle-Cruise Assist will not fit over the new grips. I do have a BrakeAway Products Motorcycle Cruise Control 7CP01 that hopefully will fit.
