Additional InformationFRIDAY THE 13th spawned an entire generation of imitators, but few were quite as accomplished as Tony Maylam's THE BURNING. Featuring effects by Tom Savini (DAWN OF THE DEAD), the film begins as a group of rambunctious kids plays a prank on the janitor at their summer camp that goes horribly wrong and results in him suffering severe burns. After five years in the hospital, he gets out and heads back to the camp for revenge, where one of his tormentors is now a counselor. The film sticks to all the conventions of 1980s movies (e.g. making each kid either a jock, nerd, prankster, etc.) and boasts outstanding gore effects. THE BURNING (which includes early screen appearances by Holly Hunter, Jason Alexander, and Fisher Stevens) is a campy, well done slasher film with a few genuinely disturbing moments.

The Burning
Better than Friday the 13th ! and quite possibly the best slash and stalker in the woods horror I've ever seen . Right from the start it grabs you and doesn't let go , superb gory special effects by Tom Savini this 1981 horror movie is a classic video nasty that was banned as part of the BBFC's kull on video nasties in 1984 an was recalled and edited and then re-released for rental and later sell though by vipco in the early 90's ... the new 1080p transfer looks brilliant , very clear good colour and good contrast ... the sound track also sounds crisp and clear making the synth sound epic. The blu ray comes with a hole host of special features like the making of the burning and interviews with the main man himself ! Cropsy !. Rare video footage shot on location was a superb addition to this brilliant blu ray from Arrow Video . So , If you fancy a nostalgic trip back to the days of the 80's video nasty genre and horror slasher in the woods ! you cant go wrong with The burning !! ..............he only wanted a hug :/Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
