Product Information

As originally produced for Britain's ITV, the detective series SERGEANT CRIBB stars Alan Dobie as the title character, a cunning and witty detective apt at solving baffling crimes in Victorian Era England. Curiously, Cribb receives precious little assist from his superiors in the Scotland Yard Criminal Investigation Department, and instead must rely almost exclusively on his own wits. Co-stars include David Waller and William Simons; the series is adapted from the novels of Peter Lovesey. This box set contains the complete program - 14 original episodes as they first aired on English television.

    I was so happy to find this movie since I had no idea DVD's were made for regions and accidentally ordered one for region 2, not region 1. The DVD arrived securely wrapped in a bubble envelope and was in perfect condition. The seller was great with a quick reply to my offer and updating me on the delivery.     Just what I expected and true to the photos. Well packed, with a greatly appreciated warning from the seller about a sharp item included. Mailed appropriately, and the value is impossible to discern. This was a fair trade between a willing buyer and a willing seller, both aware of all pertinent issues. That is the definition of a good deal for everyone.

    For an old product it was newish. The packaging was great. Was as described and shipping was fair for 26 bars of soap. Good value on something I can not longer find.

    Love these old British detective shows!

    I love these old British detective shows, and this certainly doesn't disappoint. It's definitely a product of its time (late 70's, early 80's) but that's what I love about it. Situations are sometimes kind of far-fetched, but the acting is excellent, and plenty of plot twists!

    Cribb: UK 70s TV at its best

    Great detective show. Been reliving the UK/US police/crime shows of the 70s and this is probably the best. The episodes could do with a digital makeover regarding sound and picture but the cast and stories are great.

    Sergeant Cribb DVD Boxset Came Fast (Unlike This Review)

    All the DVDs played fine, now the boxset occupies space on a bookcase until when I want to watch this series again.
