I had lived close by in Southsea for almost a half year, but never visited Portchester Castle until a return trip about 12 years later. The person I was traveling with & I were about the only people present on the late afternoon we visited; the caretaker gave us a piece of lead that had been sued to seal the wooden roof! Thank You!!!!!
