Big Stars Come Down to Earth
One definition of a good actor is the ability to take on any role, no matter how much it might contrast previous roles. The celebrity ranked stars (Mitchum, Ustinov, and Carr) were almost indistinguishable from some of the support actors who had the advantage of being Australian to begin with. Convincing family dynamics made this historical sampling of life on the outback in the early 20th century documentary-like. Bad disk
The quality of the recording is very bad. The dvd kept sticking and I had to fast forward to unstick it. Many times during the movie the dvd would stop for several seconds and then continue.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Best Enterment EVER
Excellent copy of one of the BEST movies ever made! Filmed in Australia with the best cast ever. If you want TRUE entertainment, get a copy, but be forewarned that you might wear out your copy watching it over and over and over as I did. Yes, it is THAT good! Love this little gem
Delightful family-oriented movie! Loved the scenery of Australia and the sheep and kangaroos. Mitchum and Kerr play their roles to perfection. And Ustinov and Johns provide fun color. Gets a touch slow at certain points, but not enough to detract from the overall enjoyment. I never did understand the title! It must have some special meaning in Australia.
It's in a time (1920) when life was not so fast paced as today and moral values were higher than today! Horse and wagon speed I would say. It helps that all the actors are known except the boy and they perform so well.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
