A great compendium for diehard Marvel & superhero fans!!!!
First, I'm ecstatic because I got this huge Marvel-centric tome for $19--including free shipping & handling. As I type this review, I've only made it through the first 15 pages or so. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm very impressed. The fact that anyone who buys books like this should realize is that what may be current at the time of publication may be outdated a year (or less) after its release. This is naturally due to the fact of dynamic, ongoing stories and changes in a characters' or series "status quo." For anyone who wants to know "who's who" and "what's what" in the Marvel Comics Universe, this book is a great guide. Readers may find some interesting factoids about characters they're familiar with, in addition to those unfamiliar to them. While not being the "definitive" book that goes into every little detail, this book is a nice, thick summary & it will keep one occupied for hours or days (depending on one's mileage). I'm sure the same can be said of the DC Universe Encyclopedia, as well. I will likely purchase it in the near future, especially if I can purchase it for less than $25. The who's who of Marvel

More Than You Will Expect

This is a good but not great Encyclopedia.
My only gripe with this book is that there is no mention of Dead Pool. I am not sure why he is not mentioned in this book. He is very popular among the Marvel Fans. I thought it was new
