A challenging film about personal transformation and the strength to overcome religious boundaries.

Great Movie
Story is rather heavy for those with religious beliefs but it was presented just as history taught of the Jesuit priests expectations to bring Christianity to Japan and the brutality they faced. This movie kept my interest thru-out.
This movie was very informative, educational and suspenseful. I was brought up Catholic and could relate to all the feelings and beliefs these people had. It also showed the hypocricy of having to confess to a Priest. You need to watch to the very end or you will miss the most important part of the message this movie is conveying. I actually had to watch it a couple of times to really catch all the important messages this movie had to offer. Not something I would watch again.

Interesting,but sad history lesson!

Gret Movie
