Oscar performances!
Honestly, I have seen the movie over these years and love it. I am an old man, grew up Alabama and feel like I lived it. However, before I could actually watch this disc, my Blue ray died. Superb entertaining movie

Places in the Heart a great feel good movie.

This is a favorite movie of mine.
This movie takes place in the depression era with all the ups and downs of everyday life during that time when God, faith, and gumption to not be beaten down were present in the people and the country's necessities of life.
