The Green Berets will John Wayne is a awesome war movie and totally recommend this movie for anyone who likes war movies and John Wayne. If you don't have the buy it. While you can dvd play with no problem and is brand new

My husband had this movie long time ago and it come up missing. When I bought this one for him and it was still in the original wrap , he was so excited!! We have seen it 3 times already!!

Always a great film by John Wayne! Patrick Wayne, George Takei (Nim), Aldo Ray, Jim Hutton and Jacques St. Claire, An all star cast. A team of Green Berets go after a top target, but meet opposition along the way! Will they succeed? Watch the film and find out! This was the most daring film by John Wayne, who supported our military, in the best way he knew how! While many opposed the war, John Wayne supported the troops! Always, read the credits, You learn so much about actors and their lives, and here you will read about John Wayne and his award he received! John Wayne loved people, and children! But John Wayne brought realism to the set and it shows in this film, many of our troops from the Viet Nam era will tell you, yes, these things in this film, are real! And this was the enemy we faced over there! Terrorism in the beginning started here!

Green Berets dvd
Love this movie. I'm not fond of widescreen but my DVD's display has where I can enlarge the screen to a full screen. As far as turning disc for 2nd half of movie is not a problem. I have some others I have to do this to. Look at the special features section for more insight. If you haven't seen this movie you're missing out.

Format
It would have been nice if somewhere in the advertising it would have stated that it was widescreen format. I went back over and over and could not find that. I'm not real fond of white screen pictures, if I would have known that it was why I scream I would not have purchased it! Thank you Nick

It’s John Wayne!
It’s John Wayne so it’s good. Not much into war movies. I know what he was trying to do with this movie and find it commendable. Don’t know that he succeeded but he wanted to support the troops fighting a horrific war and for that alone I love him.

You can't beat "the Duke"
It's John Wayne, the action hero of his time. This movie is a precursor to similar Vietnam war movies. Set on a firebase in the jungle, surrounded by the enemy, just as Platoon and Siege of firebase Gloria. Its a little "flag waving" and propagandist but great fun. It's a little to long but you get more Duke.
