Destruction Derby 64 combines the spirit of a traditional demolition derby with high-speed, head-on racing. The game encourages you to bash bumpers against your friends or the computer with your choice of 24 cars, including an ambulance and taxi cab.<br><br>In the single-player World Championship and Arcade modes, you compete on a total of eight tracks and four arenas. The arenas reflect those found in a traditional demolition derby, except the object is to score hits on your opponents instead of just surviving long enough to be the last car running. On the tracks, the object is to gain as many points as possible by completing laps and ramming the competition.<br><br>There are four different multi-player modes offered in Destruction Derby 64, with the first allowing you to compete head-to-head against another player on your choice of tracks. The other three modes (Capture the Flag, Bomb Tag and Deathmatch) take place in one of the arenas, and up to four players can participate at once.

Fun Multiplayer Game For Quick Brawls and Friendly Banter!
As a kid playing this game with friends and family it was a tough of goofy fun. And even today, though the visuals have not aged well, it is still an enjoyable multiplayer game for mixing things up with what games we play together. The bomb tag mode is the most hectic and fun we usually have, but also the regular destruction derby can be heated too! The racing mode is unique, though can be tough to survive AND get got hits too to score high points. Capture the flag is a bit odd since one half of the 2 vs 2 team can camp the flag and make it nearly impossible to capture the flag, but it still entices hectic friendly banter and back-and-forth play time. Overall it is an enjoyable game, though certainly left much to be desired, but it was from a different time. Fun game for a good price!

Game work! Had a little trouble initial...
Game work! Had a little trouble initially, but a quick isopropyl rub on the contacts got it booting up in my N64. Now I just have to work on getting my son to understand how cool this was back in 2000.

Keeping in mind it's an older game, it's graphics are just that. Greatly enjoy playing it.
