Brilliant for a Beginner
The diagrams are easy to follow and perfect for a beginner like me. The pages on Basic tools, equipment and materials are particular good because they explain the types of needles and their uses in good detail. Would I recommend this books? Absolutely.

Great book for embroidery beginners
An excellent introduction to embroidery. The book is easy to understand with clear illustrations. There were some lovely projects in the book and the instructions are easy to follow.
