The Title is Piano Concertos Eclogue. CD's are released in many editions and variations, such as standard edition, re-issue, demonstration demo, not for sale, promotional promo, special edition, limited edition, and many other editions and versions.
The Vaughan Williams piano concerto comes as a shock if you're expecting a pastoral piece. It owes something to Bartok, Prokofiev and Ravel and is VW in combative mood.
The Delius is a lovely work from early in his career but the Finzi eclogue is the piece that really caught my ear and the disc is worth the price for that alone.
As ever the RLPO and Vernon Handley are masterly in this music and ably support Piers Lane.
