Keep your family safe with this Kidde carbon monoxide and smoke alarm. This alarm uses three AA batteries for power. It features a liquid-crystal display that shows the level of carbon monoxide if any gas is detected. The alarm rings at 85 decibels within three minutes if carbon monoxide gas reaches the level of 300 parts per million. Affordable protection
The units were easily installed and with the ten year battery there are no nite time "chirps" and the changing of the battery each year, a ten year reprieve. Good product, good value on E-bay
Fortunately we haven't had to use this smoke and CO2 detector in the week we've had it, but the one of the same brand that it replaced was good. Almost too sensitive--my daughter lit a candle in her room with the door closed just down the hall from where it was installed, and it gave the alarm right away. It is very loud if you are near it. It was easy to install although the instructions were confusing; fortunately we were able to plug it in to the previous wiring for its predecessor and then it was a matter of screwing in the screws and testing it. Great detector
This was very easy to install and has a solid green light when active with 110 power - a light that blinks every 60 seconds when it's on battery backup. Poor mounting bracket design/ instructions
Weak plate mounting bracket slot/holes. Hard to judge tightness because no back-up provided. Too tight just flexes the bracket and, later, bracket hole depression area breaks off while further installing alarm to plate. Proper screws should be provided having flat-bottomed heads that fit into the bracket slot end depressions.
