  • Hugely disappointing and Fails to meet expectations

More of the same stuff as the first book ‘Sapiens’ so if you want that, you’ll love this. If you are looking for what ‘Homo Deus’ will do, look like, and achieve you’ll be disappointed. However, If you will enjoy a rant about how our species has messed up the planet, then you’ll love it (save your money though, watch the news and read a decent modern history book instead). I wish I had paid more attention to the fact that the author is a HISTORIAN. Never mind, it wasn’t expensive to buy here on eBay though. Accessible and easy to read, but ultimately very disappointing and misses the point (mores the pity).

  • If you’re looking for enlightenment, this is your book.

From the political hierarchy of ancient Egypt to our relationship with animals since the agricultural revolution, and from the setup of African country borders as we know them today to what consciousness really is, this book helps you understand what tomorrow will be like with context from the past. Amazing read, overall.

  • Empathy

If this book doesn't give you (or increase) your level of empathy to every living thing on this planet, then there's no hope for you. So very well written, i'm already looking forward to whatever Yuval has to say on whatever subject he decides to write about, next.

  • Eminently readable and offers much to think about

Hard to put down once you start. You not always agree with what he writes but you won't stop reading.
