Better than I remembered!
I hadn't listened to this thing in full since I owned the original vinyl back in the '80s. This was when Thrash Metal was just beginning to become popular. I liked a few of the songs back then but wasn't really sure what to make of the album as a whole. I used to buy records so that I could make mix tapes of the best songs to take along with me when I was outdoors or just cruising around. If the album in its entirety was good enough I'd dub the whole thing. Not many albums were good enough to devote that much tape to and this one didn't make the cut at the time. But time has been very kind to this album. This is a rocker from start to finish. Anthrax has always been one of my favorite bands, and it's the lineup that appears on this album that stands above the rest!

1980's NYC Thrashers
Spreading The Disease is the first album from these guys featuring Joey Belladonna on vocals. 9 tracks total, 8 of them very good...usually I'm only skipping over 1 song, 'The Real Enemy'. If you enjoy speedy 80's Metal you will like this album. Great bass playing, guitar riffs , singing, and amazing drumming. Anthrax.
