The first in an amazing series, packed full of action and fun.
I bought Cross Stitch to replace the copy I had leant to someone and therefore lost. It is a wonderful start to a great series - which has now been televised as Outlander. If you've watched that, you will absolutely love this book, which is the first in the series. Compelling and meaty; beautifully written with many flashes of humour.

Excellent read. Seen TV series which closely follows the book. Not read any other books by Diana Gabaldon, but will certainly do so now.

Heart capturing series
First book in the series of time travel romance series that will draw you in like these are your best friends. Claire is a strong young woman who finds herself out of time and place. Jamie rescues her body and soul if not always according to her wishes. The battles and the love between the two main characters will bring you laughter and tears. Truly a love story for the ages.
