GOT Rocks!!!
A bit pricey but all-in-all, a very nice package! I bought this box set to watch with my Mom. Believe it or not as of 06/05/2020, she had never seen a single episode!!! We are on Season 1, Episode 5 or 6 as of this review and she is totally hooked!! The box set is very nice to look at and the Blu-ray picture quality is quite good. I was thinking of just buying the DVD set but with a saga this epic, I'm really glad I shelled out a few more clams and went with the Blu-ray. I believe it was worth it. I think most people already know this but GOT is one of the best fantasy adventure series of all time. I especially recommend buying this if you have someone to watch it with who has never seen it. It's so great to watch them experience the show for the first time. At the same time, you get to revisit the saga. You will surly pick up on some clues and foreshadowing that you may not have been aware of the first time around. It’s HBO so sadly in some ways your paying for a plethora of nudity and there’s plenty to go around in the first season. If you like to love characters it may be difficult to watch as the onslaught of treachery and debauchery is unending. I’m seeing this for the first time and in the 4th season as I write this since there’s little else to do during the pandemic. The scenery, plots and sub-plots are epic. So worth it!
After a few seasons, HBO upgraded the sound to Dolby Atmos along with progressively better quality cameras. Even though it's only 1080P Blue Rays, the images look very sharp on my 77" OLED 4K UHD TV and my full 11 channel surround soud with Imax Quality subwoofers. Great buy with great quality picture
I like Games of Thrones and watched it 3 times and this will be my 4th but this time it will be on projection screen on a 100 inch screen and like I thought, it is great watching it on projection screen with my short throw projector and feels like it’s my first time watching it. The series are sharp picture quality. It was very well packaged and on time which I really appreciate both on time delivery and the quality of service. Worth the money even if you’ve finished GoT
This is definitely worth paying for if you are struggling to understand everything & everyone in GoT. I have found the show guide to be very helpful. Game of Thrones delivers.
