Not bad.
I've owned 2 of the Venture Series previous to this new version. The old collars had an adjustable plastic collar with a buckle system that allowed you to pre-set collar tightness and still have the snap-toggle feature. The collar would remain where set and not loosen with dog activity. New nylon collar seems to loosen with use and ineffective sometimes for the correction when you really need it; a nuisance to keep checking on it. It works and is not cruel
We have a great dog. She just would become a royal brat in very specific circumstances outside, and she was also a digger. Putting a long leash on her solved the problem, but she knew the difference between when she did and didn't have the leash on her, and having a 10-ft leash could be dangerous if she got hung up. With this, the correction is quick and specific to the behavior, which is important. For example, when she's digging, I can hit the button from the house and she thinks the shock is coming from her action and not from any outside force, which is more effective than yelling at her and only teaches her not to dig when I'm around. Just know that it's not a quick fix and involves you to commit to the training (follow the instructions and carry the remote with you at all times, so you can correct your dog EVERY time she does the behavior you want to extinguish).Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Good product
This collar works well. It does what it’s intended to do. However, I do have to agree with other reviewers about the collar getting loose. It is kind of annoying to have to tighten every time my dog goes outside, but at least I was aware that may be an issue so I check it every time to make sure it is tightened. Works but requires caution
We have 2 typically hyperactive, almost incorrigible, 1 year old German Shepherds who are in Cesar Milan training which involves use of an e-collar. Trainer recommended more expensive brands which have many more correction levels that can be changed more quickly on the fly and which have superior collars with buckles, but we had already invested in this device (actually 2). When properly positioned, it definitely works and supports the training process. However, we had to purchase the longer contact points at extra cost due to the thick coat of GSDs. One negative is the nylon collar, which will not hold tight for more than a few hours and is awkward to adjust. I have given only 3 stars otherwise because our female developed a breakdown of her skin which became infected, although this may be a hazard of any e-collar. Nonetheless, I am a believer in a firm training program like Cesar Milan and the incorporation of e-collars. Nothing else was working.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Works great
So far it works great. My dog is very hard headed but as soon as you push the button he changes his attitude. I only have to set it on #5 strength for him to do as commanded. It will make training so much faster and easier. The only problem I see is the collar loosens up on its own so you have to keep an eye on it so it stays snug. Great product, has easy to use controls, works for 100 + LB. DAG.
Great product for my 105 LB. Standard Poodle, he is a different dog now & learned very fast how it works. HEAVY GAUGE WIRE compared to other chargers I've had, charges fast, pretty water repellent also. I just wish it had a neck strap for the controller instead of the very small wrist strap. makes my third
I just inherited a third dog so I needed a third collar. These collars work great to abort their focus and get their attention. I live by a large creek and they swim almost every day. The collars work despite the swimming and are great. I have changed the strap to a colorful one. The only thing I can say about the collar is the contact points may loosen and cause the unit to fall off and become lost so I always put a dab of gorilla epoxy on the screws before screwing in place and this prevents them from backing out and losing the unit off the strap. Better than expected
So far (had this collar about 1 month) So good. Exceptional battery life. Great range, Easily 100 yards. Haven't tried for 1000 yet. Our Sheprador (German Shepard/Lab mix) responds well to it. Really don't need to use shock correction much as he responds to the beep just fine. Btw, the beep is very faint, hard to hear but our dog can hear it as it is very close to his ears. Great for big black lab!!
We used this trainer for our two year old black lab and it works!!! I had to use the shock button more at the beginning but now (after a month-ish) he is responding just as well to the "beep" option. It is great when I'm letting him run free without his leash on....if he doesn't respond to my verbal command, I give him a low shock and he returns to me. Pretty good, but needs to charge often
