Ok, but has many errors and omissions !
The more I learn about Studebaker (I grew up in them from infancy till age 22.) the more I find I didn't know. Makes me wonder what is fact qnd what is speculation, folklore, etc. this book is a good value at 1/3 to 1/2 list, but omits many of the cars that defined Stidebaker from WW II on when I was around. That makes the rest suspect. Too many people who write these things, etc were not there. We too often don't realize the significance of things till later. My dad was an Artist of note in-his field. In his 80's he still knew more about those he associated with than any book holds. I found many who have serious misconceptions about who, what, where, when, etc. I am very glad I got him to type his part of the story out - poorly by chance as I wanted to know more. Ithe the Sudebakers had kept a journal;, etc, we'd know so much more about them. so, if ther's anything significan to you, get it recorded in some way or other! My dad's book reads as though he's just talking to you. Scholorly works are often a tough slog to read and many contain a coutlessdetails that are not pertinent. The phto of the 55 President HT on the cover of this book is not of a high water mark car, though it is a beauty save for the poorly done body work oon the lower door and rocker panel. Well written, great pictures
