Beautiful Combination
I'm 61 years old and after having owned everything from the first RCA transistor radio to latest Hi-Tech Bose. I had grown tired of the music choices that I had to choose from and yearned for music from an earlier more peaceful and loving time in my life. After searching and purchasing many brand name hi quality junk recorders, over many years of disappointment, I purchased one of these little jewels a few years back at a yard sale. I spent a week of looking on line and learning what this little gem could do. I was amazed with all of the features it had and what you could do with it with a computer. The DR-05 by itself is the best hand held recorder that I have ever owned and I've owned a few! Quite a few. Paired with these headphones, the sound is Outstanding and makes my recording so much easier and better. It takes a while to master, but well worth the effort! I was so impressed with my first DR-05 (that I fell on working in my yard & Still works) I purchased a second one. If I break it, I'll purchase my third one! Better chip than expected.
Internal speaking is on but does not work. Came with a 4 GB chip vise and noted 2 GB. Because of my hearing aid I do not want to plug in a head set. Blue tooth would have been a plus. Outstanding recorder and all features work greats.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Just take the time to understand the device and you'll grow to love it.
This is a wonderful tool to have in your toolkit. You should upgrade the firmware to version 2.50 as soon as possible. Also, if your recordings are too low, press the record button and then hit the button with the two triangles pointing to the right to raise the input volume. well thought out unit
this is a great little unit. it records well and as a bonus is a really good mp3 player. not quite as good as my sony but 4 times better than an ipod. the usb interface is fantastic. i can even transfer and organise files via an android tablet. it appears as a flash drive to the operating system. the user interface is very easy to use and the display is good in any light. a bonus is the chromatic tuner which is as good as a dedicated tuner.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great Little recorder!
Bought this recorder not really sure what to expect. Once you get all the settings set, it is a great recording machine. I was very pleased with all the end results. This little machine has a lot built into it~! Looking forward to using it more & more~! Great little portable recorded.
The dr05 was quickly up headed to the Dr05x with more features, however for my use I just record with a line in our use the bike in studio for ambient it works great. I like being able to lock the settings when I'm recording. Good size and weight. Perfect starter kit for recording foley!
This kit is perfect for recording foley. I'm very familiar with this recorder from using it in my video production class, and for it's price, you're going to get some really fantastic quality, but where this recorder really shines is when you're recording foley, which comes out amazing! My only complaints, though minute, are that the headphones are a little bit on the cheap side, and that I really wish this kit would've come with some type of windscreen. Easy to use
bought this to primarily digitize cassette tapes. Have also used it to record radio and internet music broadcasts. Have only used the record function with the stereo input jack, so I cannot comment on how well it records with the built-in microphones. For me it's been a great value. Updated review Dec. 2017. Great recorder for the money!
This is a great recorder. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the built-in speaker is so small, and it doesn't sound good playing back over this speaker. This has nothing to do with the recording quality of course... the recordings sound great when played back on good equipment. I think what they could do to improve it would be a new speaker design. I mean the speaker setup in my iPhone sounds way better. But the price of this thing is reasonable.
