Hilarious and touching Rom Com
Saw this on t.v. for the first time several years ago and just had to have it! Hilarious but also has a lot of heart! Characters are very relatable as is the plot.

A good romance movie with an Irish flavor to it.
A lovely little Irish / American movie. Makes a great "chick flick" to watch with your partner. I wish it had contained more traditional Irish music in it and that the cinematography had been a bit better.

Charming, entertaining and funny
It’s a charming if imperfect movie. More realistically, it’s a four-star, not a five but it made me feel too good to give it less. Great cast, both the Americans and the Irish. Janeane Garofalo is funny, as always, and is the glue that holds the film together. It is a light, romantic comedy, that entertains while showing the enticement Ireland still holds for Americans proud of their roots. The characters’ flaws only make them more endearing. Certainly makes me want to go back, whether to search for long-lost relatives this time, or just to enjoy the beautiful country and its craic.

Lighthearted fun. Probably more of chick flick but scenes spent in charming pubs and countryside veiws may make it more engaging for men.

It's a sweet love story. with lot's of likable characters. and it's really funny and cute.
I super love this movie. and very happy to have found it. and it works great. i'm actually watching it right now. which is funny. cause i started before opening this email.

I totally love this movie and only had it on VHS and put it away and forgot about it.,,,remembered I had an ebay account and wa la I now have it dvd..

Great comedy set in Ireland, and have always loved Jeanene Garafalo!! I'm probably spelling her name wrong, but oh well she's amazeballs!!!

Well worth it.
I had seen this years ago and wanted to renew acquaintance with it. A lovely movie! Janeane is a beauty and the story was fun. Loved the local characters and the 2 matchmakers.

Good Movie
Movie is great. Picture quality is not the best probably due to the transfer from VHS to DVD. Otherwise, happy with this purchase.

Underrated Romance
The 90's were good for comedian Janeane Garafalo, who starred in many movies and romantic comedies. Matchmaker kind of flew under the radar but received favorable reviews as Janeane's film presence is charming as always in what is a romantic little Irish film . 5/5!
