This little unit should not be mistaken with other cheaper units available on eBay. This unit works very well, is fast on multiple file transfers and if necessary can be taken anywhere you wish in order to share files or to hold and run portable software. It is a well built unit that is provided with two types of cable one type A to C and the other type C to C. With many computers and the relative non statutory functions of type C, I always use USB 3 to C, as some type C outlets on some computers will not work as intended. Amazing
I have this on a thunderbolt socket on an M1 mac. The new macs are short on storage space, so I keep my files on the T7. For me, it isn't noticeably slower than using the built in storage, and significantly cheaper than having a bigger ssd factory-installed by Apple.
