Pocket Monster mania continues with Nintendo's release of Pokémon Crystal for the Game Boy Color. Much as 1999's Pokémon Yellow offered gentle enhancements to the basic story and gameplay of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue games, Pokémon Crystal is based on the second-wave Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver releases. <br><br>Though it follows the same story told in the Gold and Silver versions, Pokémon Crystal has some new options and special features. For the first time, gamers have the choice to play as a female trainer in this version. Also, just as Pokémon Yellow included a special Pikachu, trainers are aided by an unusual Suicune in this release. Pokémon Crystal is designed to offer a complete Pokémon experience for those new to the ubiquitous phenomenon and additional challenges for seasoned trainers who simply have to catch 'em all.

Very good value
The cartridge had some unexpected internal dirt but this was minimal. The price was fair given that the save battery was dead. The label was really nice and the cartridge itself in nice shape. The game plays perfectly.

Good, Worth The Money
This is a nice replica of the original game. No issues so far in the early gameplay. The game did freeze twice on me though out of nowhere - so common saves are needed. The other issue I had (not a big deal) is the last save file with the number of Pokemon caught has transferred to my file (but not the actual pokemon).

Amazing
This just might be my new fav gbc game! It's basicly red/blue using the crystal engine. The custom player sprites are really well done and the game is very fun and adds a new twist to a classic and timeless game. The clock doesn't work and there are a few sound glitches, but that's normal for custom games, so it's really not a problem at all. Overall a great game and a good value. Update! After playing through it, (7 hours later) it does turn into Pokemon crystal after the s.s Anne, super good game!

I really wish Nintendo would re-realise these games on the nintedo switch but unfortunately they are way behind when it comes to importing their classic video games so for now buying physical cartridges are the only way to play it anymore besides emulation or having it downloaded on a 3DS. game works, its 1 of my fav games ever and playing a fully different version is a breath of fresh air! only issue i had was the save battery being dead, but it was a easy fix.

Great purchase
Product was in great condition, little bit of wear on the sticker but that’s natural for a game that is 20 years old. The cartridge is in great shape. The game plays well and has no problems. Package was also well done.

Bought with intention to replace battery, worked out perfectly fine.
As advertised, this is an authentic GBC copy of Pokemon Crystal. The game came exactly as it was pictured on the page. I was able to replace the dry battery inside without any issues. The game runs perfectly (except for a non-functioning internal clock) and saves now, and transports me back to my childhood some nearly 20 years ago.

A True Subsequent Handheld Classic!!!
Pokémon Crystal Version is one of the best games to play on a Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance. It was probably the first handheld game I have ever played. I recommend this classic Pokémon game to any Pokémon fan.

Crystal is Golden
Pokemon Crystal is my faovrite game in the series. It combined the hype of loving the first 150 pokemon with the excitement of discovering new ones for the first time. The introduction of legendary pokemon that you interact with during your journey made YOU feel legendary. The game can be a bit pricey to acquire these days but it is absolutely worth it.
