The Panasonic PV-D4745S is built for versatility with the ability to play DVDS, VHS tapes, and CDs. The DVD player can play DVD discs of several types, including DVD-R and DVD-RAM. This Panasonic DVD player can also play digital picture CDs if the pictures are in JPEG format, along with audio CDs. The progressive-scan playback ability of the Panasonic PV-D4745S gives the owner the ability to view the content in a much better quality if they are using an HD-compatible TV. The VCR is programmable with the ability to create eight events within the month and perform auto channel set. The VCR component of this Panasonic DVD player allows the user to use the TV tuner and front-panel audio video input and is equipped with four video heads. DVD. VCR
I have not yet been able to vet the device hooked up to use. There being no remote control makes a number of performances impossible so this review is not a real one. THE ONLY REASON I HAVE DONE THIS IS BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET THE REVIEWS I DO HAVE TO GO THROUGH EVERY ITEM LISTED HAS TO HAVE A REZIEW. Favorable review of the PV-D4745S
A very nice unit. The image quality is good for both VHS and DVD. I do not think the remote is a Panasonic remote, but it appears to be fully functional and works very well. The fact that it may not be a Panasonic remote is irrelevant. One feature I really like is that the unit does not draw any power until it is turned on. At first I thought the unit did not start the DVD movie where it was when I turned off the unit. As it turns out, it is a matter of pressing the right buttons on the remote. If I press the Power button, the DVD starts from the very beginning. If I press the Play button, the movie starts up where it was when the unit was turned off. Super Smooth!

Good player as received. No issues.
