I'm a "laugh snob" but this cracks me up
I'm super hard to make laugh. I don't typically laugh where people (or laugh tracks or live audiences) laugh. Few shows have tickled my funny bone through the years. This one makes me crack up repeatedly. I wish they had made more, or made them in some sort of gradual succession. They're set up rather oddly and I believe the series spans nearly a decade, but there are only 3 official "seasons". I'm a chunky woman and I always have been. Here in America we are fatter than any other country I believe, from what I've read, and yet, we have approximately 4 overweight actresses. They never play sexy young bold roles, either. (Poor Kathy Bates, she's so typecast - and she's a gorgeous woman!) What I love about Dawn French is how she doesn't wear "tents" to hide her body, she talks about her ample measurements, and everyone around her acts like she's just like everyone else... Because, of course, she is. Here in the US you could throw a rock in a public place and have about a 98% chance of hitting an overweight person. Thin may be "in" but it is an elusive white whale around here. Kudos to Dawn for her boldness and authenticity, and for such a hilarious show!

Awesome series!
This is a great series and I love this comprehensive collection. I was a little worried when my package first arrived because there was only one DVD case (it looked much different than the box set pictured), but all six DVDs were inside, complete with special features. Great deal!

Highly recommended BBC sitcom in DVD boxed set.
Very risque BBC sitcom is hilarious. A very good friend who was born and raised in the UK told me about this, and after viewing a few clips on YT, I bought this boxed set. Surprisingly few episodes were made, but they are all very amusing. Very strong characters and good plots.

Vicar of Dibley is Awesome it will steal your heart
Love Vicar of Dibley Glad to finally own it on DVD especially the Holy Matrimony . These characters are funny and remind us of someone we know and you feel you are apart of there family. Great show, great quality of product.

The funny vicar
While it is from Britain; get ready for some heavy accents, the accents aren't too unbearable. The chemistry between some of the characters is the driving force of the show and was carried over into real life. Of note: the show is loosely based on a real life vicar who like the vicar in the show was a free spirit.

Great show that plays in USA!
I love this show! I saw it first on Netflix, but it was taken off several years ago. I am so glad I found this product. It is very hard to find a version that will play in the United States. Super happy with the purchase!

The whole series & the specials.
This has everything! All of the series and even the specials. The best buy because it is all in one set. The quality is top notch. No complaints whatsoever. Love it!!!

Great title for the adventures of the new Vicar
Hilarious British comedy series. Characters are funny and will make you laugh until you cry!!!

Good value, but with a drawback
Someting wrong with the second disk: does not play in sequence, talkes a long time to find a particular episode, and cannot select a specific show. Have not gone on the the next disk yet.
