The best from one of the best late '60s/early '70s singles bands!
If like many CCR lovers (including me) you have one (if not more) of the UK hits collections from the 70s/80s released after the band had broken up, I expect you will by now have found the mix of stereo processed mono tracks and cramming as many tracks as possible onto each single LP side, did not make for great listening? Which is why this double LP set 20 track compilation with what sounds like some of the best original single masters used and is released on their original US Fantasy label, might be worthy of your consideration in replacing these older LPs! The fact it was released in 1976 in USA also makes it a hidden gem! The LP tracks are sequenced in chronological order and include all their 12 Billboard Top Ten hits and 7 B sides (in the USA, some of those B sides were hits in their own right) plus a track released in 1976 of a shortened version from the "Cosmos Factory" LP of Marvin Gaye's "I heard it through the grapevine" that then became a singles hit.
