    I had a problem with shipping. It had nothing to do with the Seller. They were so kind and completely understood my frustration. I was very angry with FedX delivering my purchases to the wrong address several times. The seller took care of everything immediately and sent my purchase out again and it arrived the next day. I would not hesitate to order from them again. They went above and beyond to help and make things right for their customer!

    Had issues with seller’s communications. Said it had been mailed, should have been here by Christmas, it wasn’t. Seller provided a FedEx tracking number, however, it wasn’t my package. Seller said I would definitely receive it that day, but when asked for a tracking number, he wouldn’t provide one. I finally did receive item, in an Amazon package!!! Looking at Amazon, it was cheaper through Amazon, we should have saved the money and ordered via Amazon. Lesson learned.

    Precision? What a Joke.

    I wanted an 8 inch dial thermometer to replace my old Springfield which still works but is in tatters. I purchased an Accurite Brand thermometer at Lowe's which was anything but accurate. I then purchased one of these Taylor/Springfield units and found that it roughly coincides with the Accurite! Both of these differ from my mercury thermometers and my old Springfield (which are consistent with one another) by anywhere from about 5 degrees to about 13 degrees! I presume that some Chinese firm is cranking out bi-metal strip coils that simply aren't engineered to function properly--and the American firms who are contracting the work haven't bothered to check for quality. More landfill...

    Works well. Easy to see. Font bolder than advertised.

    The face font is not as it appears in ad photo. My numbers are bolder and they overlap each other. Face not as clean and crisp as in ad photo. Be aware of where you place this thermometer. Temp skyrockets to over 100 degrees when sunlight hits it. Otherwise temp is accurate.

    What you see is not what you get

    The 8" Springfield thermometer pictured, is not the one you are going to get from lyolawire. You will get a newer version that is quite inferior to the one pictured. [You will get the one that has a half inch ring of plastic around the circumference ... it is pictured in many of the other ebay offerings].

    Straight forward thermometer

    This thermometer has good visibility, it is accurate with the temperature and displays both Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures. I like it!
