Best chick flick adaptation of the all-time best chick lit book.
Of all the million dramatizations of "Jane Eyre," this is far and away the best. When I first saw it, I thought it had been cleverly rewritten to reflect a modern, feminist viewpoint. I was delighted to reread the book and see it was all in the original. Now, why couldn't the other screenwriters see and use those gems? Also, fantastic acting, to go with the script, In most every other adaptation, Mr Rochester is gloomy and severe, Jane timid and joyless. In this adaptation, they tease and joust with each other: they have personality, and you can see why they click, why they fall in love with other's intellect and spirit.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

the BEST JANE EYRE
of course in my opinion. Follows the book, long enough to develop the story. Wonderful set and production. The characters are sufficiently homely to adhere to the descriptions in the book and the acting is wonderful. One of the best interpretations of the book.
I own other movie interpretations of Jane Eyre and this - by far - has the most accurate quotes and depth of the work, as it was written. Though not well known, the actors give credible acting performances. If Sorcha Cusack appears familiar to you, she plays the housekeeper on the current Father Brown mystery series. Wonderful adaptation of the oft filmed novel. Standout acting &production!

The Best of Jane Eyre. Truest to the book.
This rendition of Jane Eyre is the most complete. From her aunt to Lowood school, to Mr. Rochester, to moors and Jane's cousins. It does not eliminate parts of her story as done by every other film. Beautifully cast and played. Excellent.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

True to the book
I wish there were more chemistry and passion between the actors portraying the two main characters. But the inclusion of so much of Charlotte Bronte's original work makes this an excellent and for me very enjoyable literary adaptation.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
