Great value for a lot of history and good stories
I took World Literature last semester in college, and the Norton Anthology volumes A, B, and C were used as the textbook. The scope and content of the books made such an impression on me that I had to buy all three to own for myself. The anthology covers classic literature, from both famous and more obscure authors, from ancient times until around 1600. It presents a fascinating look into the evolution of narrative art from culture to culture.
